Super Junior Sungmin, who has made his debut in musical field still showed his loyalty to the other members of MBC Ilbam "Oppa band".
On October 9th, Sungmin had said on the press conference of his debut musical "Akilla" at Hanjeon Art Center that "I received a lot of support from "Oppa band" Hong Kyungmin hyung and Kim Jungmo hyung. Especially Hong Kyungmin hyung, who had many experiences in musical had given me many advices. He also bought me delicious food when I was tired because of coming to the filming right after practicing for the musical"
Especially, on this musical, Sungmin will perform the title song "I Akilla You" on the stage.
After the press conference, Sungmin said "I have been interested in musical since I was young. Everytime I watch a performance, I always want to feel the feeling of standing on the stage and acting. And now I can have the chance through this musical. Although I'm trembling and there are many pressure but I will try all my best"
Also, when talking about "Oppa band", the show which might be discontinued because of low rating, Sungmin said "I myself has heard about the cancel thing not long ago. It's quite sad" and "I'm sad because that show give me a lot of things/knowledge in the music field. However, we're still the members who are good friends to each other. And may be in the future, we could meet each other again in another show".
According to MBC, Epik High & In SoonEe will appear on this week "Oppa band". On the show, In SoonEe had discovered the talent of "Funky chicken" member Sungmin and choosed him to be the vocal singer. She also made the other members feel jealous with Sungmin when saying that Sungmin is like a pearl covered with mud and now his talent is shining.
The musical "Akilla" will be performed at Hanjeon Art Center from October 9th to November 8th.
